49 Days...

49 days.  Wow!  Forty-nine days until we leave to survey Europe to find what city God has in store for us.  Writing this makes my stomach fill with butterflies, but I am also filled with excitement and eagerness to see what God will do!  No matter what happens with our preparations, the trip itself, or the results of our trip, God is always good.  I may not see or understand everything when it happens, but in the long run I know God has His will and it is better than any plan I could have.
An important part of Libby and I's life in our endevors is YOU.  As the body of Christ, we all work together to further the message of the Gospel.  We want you to be a part of this move to grow disciples of Christ in Europe.  This is a beginning of a life long journey to change the spiritual tide in Europe for Christ in partnership with other church planters in Europe.
We are excited to have people begin to partner with us this early in our ministry lives.  It will be a source of encouragement and spiritual support that we will need throughout our ministry.  For those of you who have already been following us and praying for us, THANK YOU.  We have already recieved many notes of encouragement on Facebook and in person and it means so much to us.  If you are just learning what is happening in our lives we are thrilled to have you watching and praying.
The process of rasing money is still ongoing!  If you feel compelled to give, there are multiple options.  Be sure to check our giving page for more information.  Libby is doing some promotions with her photography to raise money for our trip.  100% of the funds will go to our trip.  If you would like to take part in this opportunity visit our fundraising page (Des Moines & Southern Iowa).
     Thanks for following and praying!

Article - "What happens at an atheist church?"

This article is the definition of why we are going to be church planters in Europe.  It is so critical that we reach this generation for Christ.  Many are indifferent to God and activley embrace the fallacy that God does not exsist.
From the article:
"It's a nice excuse to get together and have a bit of a community spirit but without the religion aspect," says Jess Bonham, a photographer.
"It's not a church, it's a congregation of unreligious people."
We can not wait to get there and engage the culture.

The Journey Starts Now

In the last year, Libby and I have prepared, planned, prayed, and sought our future dilengently.  We desire to be ready when to go as soon as I complete my degree and internship.  We do not want to waste any time trying to figure out what is to come next.  That is why you see this site.
We want you to be just as excited as we are what God has in store for us.  For those who partner with us as a church body, you will be just as much of a part of it as we are.  God uses all in different ways to accomplish his purpose.  You are a part of this.
As this journey begins, we are so excited to share every part of our journey and the plan that we have with you.  If there is ever a question you have about our plans feel free to email me at anytime and ask!  We are excited to have the body of Christ on this journey with as as a church!

Looking Ahead

A few months have passed since I completed my education at Baptist Bible College.  I must admit that it's bittersweet to be done.  I have always had a curious passion for learning (maybe that's why I wanted to become a teacher).  However, we have some big plans for the future so I'm making that my focus now.  May will be a very busy month for us.  I'm graduating on May 16th and we leave for Europe May 17th (my birthday)!  Check out the map below to see where we'll be going!
(Belfast, Ireland; Inverness, Scotland; London, England; Brugges, Belguim; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Copenhagen, Denmark)

We'll be gone for 18 days which equals about 3 days per city!  We are praying that through this trip God might burden our hearts for the location of our first church plant and reveal to us where He would have us.  We are so excited about this opportunity.
